Position: Internship, Supply Chain

Location: Addis Ababa

Role Overview

The intern will work directly with the logistics team and indirectly with partners, internal departments, suppliers, and other stakeholders to support supply chain activities.


Key Responsibilities

Supply Management:

  • Review bills, invoices, purchase orders, and contracts before submission for payment or signature.
  • Assist the Supply team with Oxfam and donor compliance requirements.
  • Support the timely dispatch of tender documents, TORs, and preparation of contracts.
  • Organize tender committee meetings in the absence of the Supply Chain Officer.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, decisions, and contracts.
  • Upload scanned documents to project folders and share links biweekly.
  • Facilitate timely supplier payments.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Ensure smooth communication with the logistics team (procurement, fleet, warehouse).
  • Establish and maintain ethical and professional relationships with suppliers.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Newly graduated students with no prior experience are encouraged to apply.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Excellent planning and prioritization abilities.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and adept at problem-solving.
  • Flexible and willing to work additional hours if necessary.
