EthioChicken for Fresh Graduates – Area Sales Manager

Location: Various (Ambo, Atingo, Shambu, Asossa, Gambella, Sheno, Bule Hora, Yabelo, Ginir, Adele, Robe, Hosana, Yirgalem, Tepi, Jemu, Tercha, Karat, Yirgachefe)

Job Summary:

The Area Sales Manager is a pivotal role working closely with Ethio Chicken, responsible for selecting new agents/growers and developing existing ones in the region. This position demands initiative, professionalism, and relationship skills to influence stakeholders. It involves extensive travel, monitoring, and maximizing sales.

Key Functions:

Planning:

  • Develop plans for sales growth and agent appointment.
  • Collaborate on sales strategies with the Regional Manager and national sales team.
  • Map strategies for efficient and timely sales achievements.

Sales Activity:

  • Achieve sales volume targets for DOC and poultry & cattle feed.
  • Develop channels for feed distribution.
  • Increase the number of agents, distributors, and sub-distributors.
  • Implement promotional activities and assess market dynamics.

Team Development:

  • Lead, manage, and motivate sales representatives to exceed targets.
  • Assist in establishing contacts with decision-makers.
  • Identify and address skill/knowledge gaps in the sales team.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Travel to zones and woredas for market expansion.
  • Conduct regular meetings and guide the sales team.
  • Provide monthly assessments of sales staff productivity.
  • Track agent performance and reevaluate partnerships.

Government Relations:

  • Develop a good working relationship with key government officials.
  • Represent the company in sector-related activities.
  • Stay updated on government regulations affecting the business.

Skill and Educational Background:

  • Degree in Animal Science and Veterinary

Experience:

  • Fresh Graduates
