Position: Logistics Intern
Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Duration: 6 months (with possibility of extension)

They provide advisory, implementation, and transactional services, working closely with governments and communities to ensure increased economic, social, and environmental sustainability for the projects they support.
Functional Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Logistics Specialist, the Logistics Intern will:
- Understand and learn overall logistics activities through on-the-job training.
- Support logistics team with daily tasks, document collection/delivery, and inspection of cargos at partners’ warehouses.
- Liaise with freight forwarders to facilitate customs clearance processes.
- Accompany UNOPS’ colleagues on site visits to understand pre-delivery inspections.
- Familiarize and provide support with administrative functions of the office and logistics.
- Learn about record-keeping and filing of logistics documents.
- Participate in on-the-job training, access UNOPS’ learning platform, and undergo relevant skills training.
Education/Experience/Language Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics and Procurement or related fields.
- Work Experience: No professional work experience required; applicants should have graduated within the last three (3) years.
- Language Requirements: Fluency in written, reading, and oral English is required.
- Computer Literacy: Knowledge and usage of Google suite applications is an asset.
