About Abay Bank

Abay Bank was officially established on July 14, 2010, and started full-fledged banking operations on November 3, 2010, after fulfilling all necessary requirements from the National Bank of Ethiopia. As of June 30, 2023, the Bank has a paid-up capital of Birr 4.733 billion and 4,437 shareholders. Abay Bank serves various economic sectors, including domestic and international trade, agriculture, industry, transportation, construction, and real estate through its 487 branches across the country. The Bank also has over 2.5 million account holders.

1. Branch Manager – Grade 1

  • Required Education and Experience:
    BA Degree in Management, Economics, Accounting & Finance, Marketing, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, or other business-related fields of study.
    Minimum of 6 years of work experience in banking operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory position.
  • Place of Work: Dima Branch (Gambella Region)

2. Manager – Interest Free Banking Operation

  • Required Education and Experience:
    MA/BA Degree in Management, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field of study.
    Minimum of 8 years of experience (for MA) or 10 years (for BA) in banking operations, with at least 4 years in the Interest-Free Banking (IFB) area.
  • Place of Work: Adama District Office
