TechnoServe invites qualified and competent applicants to apply for the following positions:


1. Senior IT Specialist

Skills and Educational Background:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Science, or Information Systems from a recognized institution.
  • Experience: 5+ years in managing and supporting IT infrastructure and services, preferably with an international NGO.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in managing Microsoft Windows environments, network devices (Router, Firewall, Switches, Access Points), business applications, Google Workspace, and IT customer service. Knowledge of video conference systems is also required.
  • Language: Proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee IT management and administration, ensuring proper IT task execution.
  • Manage IT incidents and maintain a reliable IT environment with business continuity plans.
  • Install, configure, and manage servers, networking devices, and ensure LAN security.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and handle IT procurement needs.
  • Support IT-related activities for any regional or global initiatives.

2. Business Advisor 2

Skills and Educational Background:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Agricultural Economics, Finance, or related field. (5+ years of relevant experience can be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience, preferably in the private sector. No prior coffee-specific experience is required.
  • Skills: Strong planning, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in using technology and computers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide training and business coaching to wet mill owners/staff, focusing on quality, sustainability, and bookkeeping.
  • Conduct on-site performance audits and assist clients in achieving sustainability standards.
  • Support the implementation of digital bookkeeping and traceability systems.
  • Engage with stakeholders to expand the wet mill program, promoting gender inclusivity and local customs.
