Position Available: Senior Education Advisor


About USAID Ethiopia:

USAID Ethiopia provides critical humanitarian support to populations affected by conflict, drought, floods, and other climatic shocks across Ethiopia. The agency collaborates with partners to implement impactful programs in education, healthcare, and emergency response to promote resilience and sustainable development.

Position and Requirements

1 Senior Education Advisor

    • Location: Ethiopia (Resident-Hire)
    • Market Value: $88,520 – $115,079 (equivalent to GS-13). The final salary will be negotiated based on experience, educational background, and salary history, within the specified range.

    Educational Qualification:

    • A four-year degree in a relevant field, such as international education, international development, public administration, or social/behavioral sciences.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of five years in progressively responsible roles related to designing, managing, and implementing education programs in developing countries.
    • Proven experience in basic education program design and management, strategy formulation, customer service, education in crisis settings, and evidence-driven methodologies. Experience with GPE (Global Partnership for Education) and EWC (Education Working Group) is desirable.

    Languages Required:

    • Proficiency in English and Amharic at Level IV.
