Ikhlas Finishing Products Industry Trade PLC would like to invite qualified and competent applicants for the following vacant position:

Position: General Accountant

Job Summary:

The General Accountant is responsible for recording, reporting, and ensuring the financial health of the organization. The role includes managing financial documentation, verifying payments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with statutory tax laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all payment requests have complete documentation, proper accounting codes, and authorized certifications.
  • Verify payment information and prepare vouchers (CRV’s/JV’s), ensuring entries are recorded into the financial system.
  • Maintain records of invoices, cheques, and payment documents.
  • Process monthly payroll based on timesheets.
  • Manage cheque books and ensure the availability of withholding receipts.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and provide regular financial reports.
  • Handle queries related to payments, accounts, expenditures, and income discrepancies.
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.
  • Collaborate with branch offices on financial returns and maintain accurate financial records.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting.
  • Knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws.
  • Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Word, and at least one accounting software (e.g., IFRS, Peachtree).
  • Ability to work under pressure.
