Graduate Research Scholarships 2024-25


The University of Melbourne offers the Melbourne Research Scholarship and Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship to high-achieving international and domestic students enrolling in a graduate research degree.

Benefits:

  • Stipend and Fee Offset Scholarships:
  • Full Fee Offset: Covers tuition fees for up to two years for Master’s by Research or up to four years for a doctoral degree.
  • Living Allowance: $37,400 per year (2024 full-time study rate) for up to two years for Master’s by Research or up to 3.5 years for doctoral students. This allowance includes limited paid sick, maternity, and parenting leave and may be indexed annually.
  • Relocation Grant: $2000 for students moving from other Australian states or territories and $3000 for students moving from outside Australia.
  • Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC): Single membership for international students requiring a visa.

  • Full Fee Offset: For up to two years for Master’s by Research or up to four years for doctoral students.
