Position: Junior Accountant

Location: Sululta, Sheger City Administration (4 km North of Addis Ababa)

Company Description:

Yetem Trading PLC, established in 1983 E.C., is a prominent player in the cosmetics trading business in Ethiopia. The company owns a cosmetics house that supplies and distributes various brands and has an extensive customer base throughout the country. Currently, Yetem Trading PLC is investing in establishing a manufacturing unit for personal care cosmetics and plastic products on a 5000 Sqm plot with technologically advanced machines in Sheger City Administration.

Major Duties:

  • Prepare Cheques, CPV, PCPV, CRV, and WHT receipts and enclose all necessary documents.
  • Cross-reference voucher numbers on each supporting document to avoid misplacement.
  • Ensure that after the check is paid, the CPV and all supporting documents are stamped ‘paid’ and handed to the accountant for recording and posting the entry.
  • Follow up on the settlement of documents taken by purchasers and drivers.
  • Critically follow the cash collection of credit sales from the sales and marketing department.
  • Register daily cash balances and report to the immediate supervisor.
  • Ensure the payment request is complete and authorized.
  • Manage the payroll fund when payroll is paid in cash.
  • Collect bank statements and bank advice from banks and submit them to the finance department.
  • Participate in the annual inventory count as assigned.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1 to 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Full professional qualification is desirable.
