HR Officer Position at Milk & Honey

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the HR Officer will perform clerical personnel and HR activities, such as recording, compiling, and maintaining personnel records, drafting letters, and assisting the HR & Admin Manager with studies on Human Resources and Administration issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow up, organize, and handle personnel records, such as annual leave, performance evaluation results, promotions, demotions, attendance, and other related tasks.
  • Collect and compile statistical data on personnel matters, including total number of employees, resignations, categorized by sex, age, salary group, work unit, etc.
  • Monitor employee attendance and prepare timesheet reports for salary payment.
  • Prepare letters on personnel issues and submit them for signature following the decision.
  • Notify employees about ending contracts and probation periods in due time.
  • Prepare identity cards (ID) for employees and submit them for approval.
  • Perform preliminary screening and registration of applicants and work as a team member when assigned.
  • Prepare monthly payroll based on attendance and submit it for approval.
  • Collect and organize data about the human resource management function, and assist the immediate supervisor in undertaking related studies.
  • Maintain confidential personal files safely and prepare employees’ personnel data based on a checklist.
  • Keep up to date on the overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and informing the HR Head/Manager to take corrective actions.
  • Distribute employee performance evaluation and employee engagement survey forms, ensuring all are completed properly and complies with the result timely completion.
  • Prepare and encode employee data in both soft and hard copies accordingly.
  • Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, facilitating the interview schedule, and the hiring decision.
  • Assist in conducting new employee orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
  • Assist in resolving workplace conflicts and mediating between employees when necessary.
  • Prepare and manage Excel databases or HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and generate reports as needed.
  • Assist in the development and distribution of HR-related materials.
  • Stay informed about labor laws and regulations, ensuring the organization’s compliance.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in identifying training needs and organizing training sessions for employees.
  • Support career development initiatives and employee learning programs.
  • Contribute to internal communication efforts, keeping employees informed about HR-related matters.
  • Perform related HR & Admin tasks as per the immediate supervisor’s request.

Qualifications:

  • BA Degree/Diploma in HRM/Management/Business Administration or related field of study.
  • Previous hospitality experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and HCMS.

  • 2+ years of experience in HR management activities.
