About the Country Program in Ethiopia
Action Against Hunger’s Ethiopia office was established in 1985 in response to severe drought and famine, implementing relief and development projects in Tigray, Amhara, and Oromia regions. The organization currently operates in six regions of Ethiopia (Amhara, Benishangul Gumuz, Gambella, Somali, Oromia, and Tigray) and Addis Ababa, responding to crises and building resilience through a multi-sectoral strategy integrating nutrition, Food Security and Livelihoods, WASH, and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support activities.
With over 8,900 staff in more than 50 countries, last year, Action Against Hunger helped 28 million children and their families across 55 countries. The Ethiopia team comprises over 900 staff in 17 regional and satellite offices. Major donors include BHA, ECHO, EU RESET, UNHCR, UNICEF, GAC, GFFO, BPRM, SIDA, EHF, FAO, WFP, CIAA, and the Dutch Government, among others.
1. HR Intern
Skill and Educational Background:
- Minimum Academic Qualification: BA in Management, Business Management, IT, or related fields.
- Additional Skills: Good command of English, certificate of training in Microsoft software, strong analytical skills, ability to forecast, computer skills, good oral and written communication skills, ability to work to deadlines, and ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Summary of Position:
The HR Intern will provide support to HR documentation and contribute to the quality of personnel field administration and documentation. The role involves organizing personnel records, updating tracking sheets, ensuring effective documentation, and general administration of documentation under the direction of HR Assistants and HR officers with support from the HR team in the Capital Office.
