1: Receptionist
Skill and Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field of study
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in computer skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Compassionate and understanding demeanor to address patients’ needs and anxieties
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner
- Schedule appointments efficiently according to physician availability and patient needs
- Register new patients and collect necessary information and insurance details
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and collect co-pays as needed (following hospital guidelines)
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Direct patients and visitors to appropriate locations within the hospital
- Assist patients with completing forms and understanding hospital procedures
- Provide clear and concise information about hospital services, policies, and visiting hours
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
- Restock supplies and ensure proper operation of office equipment
- Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently, following established protocols
- Uphold patient confidentiality in accordance with regulations
- Work collaboratively with other hospital staff members to ensure a positive patient experience
2: Call Operator
Skill and Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field of study
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Active listening skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in computer skills, including familiarity with customer service software (a plus)
- Positive and professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally
- Greet callers and listen attentively to their inquiries and requests
- Identify customer needs and provide accurate and helpful information about our company and services
- Transfer calls to the appropriate department or representative
- Take clear and concise messages
- Escalate complex issues to supervisors as needed
- Maintain accurate records of all calls and interactions
- Process payments (if applicable)
- Perform basic administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and scheduling appointments (if applicable)
- Contribute to a positive and professional work environment
