VisionFund Micro Finance Institution (S.C) invites qualified and competent applicants to apply for the following vacant post.

VisionFund Micro Finance Institution (S.C) is an institution established according to proclamation No. 40/96 to provide financial services to the productive poor in rural and urban areas of Ethiopia. VisionFund currently operates in five of the regional states of the country.

Position: Receptionist

Location: Addis Ababa

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handling incoming & outgoing telephone calls.
  • Welcoming visitors & directing them to the correct staff/department.
  • Receiving incoming letters and distributing them to concerned offices/staff.
  • Managing emails coming through info@visionfundmfi.com (forwarding the emails to the concerned departments).
  • Forwarding CVs and applications received in hard copies/via email to the Human Capital Department.
  • Facilitating the receiving and delivery of postage/parcels.
  • Preparing monthly expenses summary and submitting it to Finance for payment.
  • Receiving and sending FAX messages.
  • Preparing monthly attendance sheet and attendance summary for General Service staff (better to make use of the system; the role of the receptionist should be to encode absentees and latecomers into the system at the end of the day). The summary of the results should be communicated to the concerned staff by the respective HR Department.
  • Supporting and providing secretarial work for the General Service unit.
  • Keeping records (copy of DHL monthly reports, Attendance summary, and Fax queries).
  • Handling safely and properly all properties under custody.
  • Collecting purchase requests and forwarding them to the Logistics Department.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Skill and Educational Background:

Education/Training:

  • A minimum of a Diploma in Secretarial Science & Office Management or a related field.

Experience:

  • 3 years of relevant experience.

Technical and Other Skills:

  • Capability and willingness to take responsibility and a highly developed sense of integrity.
  • Ability to articulate/communicate well.
  • Ability to keep confidential records.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficiency in written communication and report writing.
  • Ability to work effectively with others at all levels.

Terms of Employment: Permanent

Salary: As per the institution salary scale
