Position: Airfreight Specialist
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/qualification
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in air freight operations
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute air freight operations plans to provide forwarding services for internal and external customers.
- Assess and interpret requirements from the freight control center and support the operations team with necessary details, information, and instructions.
- Provide allocation and reservations of freight on planned carriers and flights required for operational performance.
- Participate in developing and executing plans for air freight products across various areas.
- Develop opportunities to expand business with new clients and continuously improve in-house customer services.
- Maintain close business relationships with existing clients, attend customer visits, and achieve a desired level of customer retention.
- Manage day-to-day shipment documentation related to current shipments.
- Identify opportunities to enhance air freight productivity, efficient resource allocation, and utilization.
- Analyze and provide input for processes and systems to enhance service quality.
- Resolve day-to-day delivery issues and implement practices to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
- Create and manage bookings through CW1 for both import and export.
- Prepare, control, and distribute all required Import/Export documents.
- Identify performance issues of suppliers and propose solutions to improve performance.
- Update shipment milestone/timestamp information and physical status, resolve customer issues and incidents.
