The Opportunity:
The MIYCN Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day implementation of outreach EPI, health education, screening, and OTP as per the guidelines of RHB and WHO mobile health and nutrition teams. The position involves providing supervision, technical assistance, and capacity building to health extension workers and health workers in health facilities. The officer will also be responsible for the daily implementation of mobile health and nutrition services, supporting assigned health facilities, and managing daily dispensary and drug supply.
The Individual:
Education:
- BSc in Public Health, Midwifery, or Nutrition
Experience:
- Four (4) years of relevant professional experience in a similar position
- In-depth knowledge and experience in health and nutrition programming in humanitarian contexts
- Familiarity with MHN activity in emergency settings
- In-depth knowledge of primary health care systems
- In-depth knowledge and experience of IMNCI, AMYCN, IYCF-E implementation
- Strong organizational and supervisory skills
- Strong writing and reporting skills

- Understand and implement responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC).
- Ensure that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in day-to-day work.
- Contribute to Plan International’s global efforts to ensure safeguarding and GEI, including ensuring relevant reporting and data submission.
