1. Cashier/Storekeeper
Location: Ethiopia
Job Summary:
- Maintain and safeguard cash and fuel coupons.
- Prepare bank accounts and cash balances.
- Manage the project’s store, including receiving and issuing materials and controlling bin cards.
Skills and Educational Background:
- Experience: At least 2 years in a similar position, preferably in an NGO setting.
- Education/Certifications: Diploma in Accounting.
- Competencies: Proactive personality, computer literacy, positive attitude.
- Language: Proficiency in both spoken and written English. Knowledge of local language preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility: None
2. Commodity Transfer Officer
Location: Ethiopia
Job Summary:
- Review and prepare commodity reports.
- Reconcile commodity records with store sites.
- Advise Commodity Storekeepers on reporting and handling food aid commodities.
Skills and Educational Background:
- Experience: At least 3 years in a similar position, preferably in an NGO setting.
- Education/Certifications: BA Degree in Accounting or related field.
- Competencies: Proactive personality, computer literacy, excellent communication skills.
- Language: Proficiency in both spoken and written English. Knowledge of local language preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility: Supervises Commodity Storekeepers.
3. Risk and Compliance Officer
Location: Ethiopia
Job Summary:
- Monitor delivery, distribution, documentation, and field-level reporting of JEOP.
- Ensure compliance with USAID’s regulations and FH’s standards.
- Collaborate with JEOP officers, storekeepers, distributors, and data clerks.
Skills and Educational Background:
- Experience: At least 3 years in a similar position, preferably in an NGO setting.
- Education/Certifications: BA Degree in Accounting, Social Science, or related field.
- Competencies: High initiative, computer literacy, excellent report writing skills.
- Language: Basic proficiency in both spoken and written English.
Supervisory Responsibility: Technical supervisory roles.
4. Dispatcher
Location: Ethiopia
Job Summary:
- Manage food aid resources at the central warehouse.
- Ensure proper receipt and dispatch of commodities.
- Forward operations feedback and necessary reports.
Skills and Educational Background:
- Experience: At least 2 years in a similar position, preferably in an International NGO setting.
- Education/Certifications: Diploma/Degree in Supplies Chain Management or relevant field.
- Competencies: Proactive personality.
- Language: Proficiency in spoken and written Amharic and/or local language, basic understanding of English.

5. Psychosocial Support (PSS) Officer
Location: Ethiopia
Job Summary:
- Support Tigray GBV Responses and Prevention Project sites.
- Increase capacity for delivering services in compliance with IASC Guidelines for Mental Health and Psychosocial Support.
Skills and Educational Background:
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in counseling and psychosocial support, preferably in an NGO setting.
- Education/Certifications: Degree in psychology, psychiatric nursing, mental health, or related field.
- Competencies: Proactive personality, computer literacy.
- Language: Proficiency in both spoken and written English. Knowledge of local language preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility: None
6. MEAL Officer
Location: Ethiopia
Job Summary:
- Handle MEAL tasks for the Joint Emergency Operation.
- Build capacity of JEOP program staff on MEAL activities.
- Ensure proper documentation of reports in compliance with SMILER guidelines.
Skills and Educational Background:
- Experience: 3 years in a relevant position, preferably in an INGO setting.
- Education/Certifications: BSc/BA in Agriculture/Rural Development, Sociology, or relevant field.
- Competencies: Strong computer skills, high initiative.
- Language: Proficiency in both spoken and written English. Knowledge of local language preferred.
