Job Vacancies

1. Project Coordinator (PC)

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
Terms of Employment: Contract for one year
Salary: Negotiable

Job Summary:

The Project Coordinator will support the efficient, effective, and sustainable implementation of ERCS/SRC projects. Responsibilities include supporting the SRC delegation in project management, coordinating with ERCS headquarters and branches, building project team capacities, and supervising and monitoring branch staff in project locations.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s/BA degree in social science, project management, or related fields.
  • 8/10 years of relevant work experience (Master’s/BA respectively).
  • Experience in International Humanitarian & Development organizations.
  • Certificate or training in WASH and health projects is key.

Competencies and Skills:

  • Expertise in social fields (e.g., migration), DRM, WASH, and Health.
  • Knowledge and experience in project cycle management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Adaptability to stressful conditions and regular travel to remote areas.
  • Strong planning, management, and coordination skills.
  • Experience in supervising/training others.
  • Knowledge of Red Cross principles is an advantage.
  • Fluency in Amharic and English, knowledge of other Ethiopian languages is an asset.

2. Migration Projects Coordinator

Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Job Summary:

The Migration Projects Coordinator will manage the ERCS/DRC Migration Projects, including Well-Being and Resilience for Migrants, Ethiopian Early Action, and Humanitarian Response for Returnees from KSA. Responsibilities include implementing project activities, supporting and mentoring staff and volunteers, and ensuring compliance with ERCS and donor requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s/BA in Migration, Social Work, Development Studies, Economics, Sociology, Community Development, Applied Psychology, or related fields.
  • 8/10 years’ experience in a humanitarian organization (3 years for MA, 5 years for BA).
  • Experience in displacement-related work (IDPs, host communities, refugees, returnees).
  • At least 5 years of project management experience.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and advocacy skills.
  • Proficiency in project monitoring, reporting, and evaluation.
  • Experience in supervision and mentoring.
  • Proficiency in computers (Windows, spreadsheets, PowerPoint).
  • Fluency in English and Amharic; knowledge of other local languages is an advantage.
