Position: Administration Officer (Protocol)

Background / General Description:

UNOPS ETMCO is seeking an Administration Officer (Protocol) based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This role involves providing effective government liaison and efficient protocol support to the country office. Qualified Ethiopian nationals are encouraged to apply.

Functional Responsibilities:

The Administration Officer (Protocol) will:

  1. Provide effective liaison function with government, UN agencies, and partners.
  2. Ensure efficient protocol support to the Country Office.
  3. Facilitate knowledge building and sharing.

Education/Experience/Language Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Public Administration, Law, International Relations, or related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience, preferably in liaison, communication, or public relations.
  • Experience dealing with government authorities and ministries is desired.
  • Knowledge of Google Suite applications and possession of a valid driving license are advantageous.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required; knowledge of another UN working language is desirable.
