The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg Center for Communication Programs is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Data Collectors for its IFA/MMS Adherence Implementation Research project.

Job Description:

The Data Collectors will be responsible for conducting field-level data collection in 16 woredas across four regions of Ethiopia. This research aims to develop and test prototype solutions to improve adherence to Iron Folic Acid (IFA) and Multiple Micronutrient Supplementation (MMS) among pregnant women.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in a five-day training and pretesting session.
  • Establish a list of pregnant women per kebele using health center records.
  • Recruit study participants according to the study protocol.
  • Administer consent with eligible study participants.
  • Conduct interviews at participants’ homes in the local language.
  • Collaborate closely with field supervisors and CCP/RME team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc) in nutrition, health, statistics, or social science fields.
  • At least three years of experience in quantitative data collection.
  • Proficiency in Amharic and at least one of the local languages listed in the table.
