Salary:

  • Position Grade: FSN-11, USD 24,124.00 per year
  • Position Grade: FSN-10, USD 19,728.00 per year
  • For USEFM:
  • Position Grade: FP-04
  • Position Grade: FP-05

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Food and Agricultural Marketing, Agriculture, Agribusiness, or International Trade.

Required Experience:

  • For Grade LE 10:
  • Minimum four years of work experience in agricultural economics, agricultural policy, commodity trade, and marketing analysis/research.
  • For Grade LE 11:
  • Minimum five years of work experience in agricultural economics, agricultural policy, commodity trade, and marketing analysis/research.

Language Requirement:

  • Level 4 (Fluent) Reading/Writing/Speaking English is required.
  • Level 3 (Good working knowledge) Reading/Writing/Speaking Arabic, French, Portuguese, Spanish, or Kiswahili, or any other African language is required.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of FAS specialized software and data analysis programs.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Ability to analyze agricultural production, global agricultural trade concepts, and economic supply/demand concepts.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with government, public, and private stakeholders.
