Duration: Special Short-Term Contract, Six months with the possibility of extension
Job Summary:
As the Project Associate, you will be responsible for implementing, coordinating, and monitoring data collection for the Data and Research Unit in the region. Working under the supervision of the Chief of Mission and the Head of Sub Office, you will provide guidance, training, and support to enumerators, ensure smooth collaboration with regional authorities, and represent the DRU at relevant meetings and events. Your role will contribute to the organization’s efforts in understanding migration dynamics and supporting vulnerable populations.
Skill and Educational Background:
- School diploma with five years of relevant experience; or,
- Bachelor’s degree in various fields such as Political or Social Sciences, Information Technology, Data Science, International Relations, or related fields, with three years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, international institutions, and NGOs.
- Proficiency in Geographic Positioning System (GPS) tools and Open Data Kit (ODK) technology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English (oral and written); knowledge of Amharic and other local languages is an advantage.
