Job Summary:
Enumerators are responsible for collecting data from respondents during various types of surveys. They play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of the data collected, which is essential for informing decision-making and policy-level interventions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Enumerators’ duties include, but are not limited to:
- Attending training sessions to understand survey instruments, data collection protocols, and ethical guidelines.
- Familiarizing themselves with the survey area and preparing survey materials.
- Conducting interviews with respondents and accurately recording responses.
- Ensuring confidentiality and professionalism throughout the data collection process.
- Reviewing and verifying collected data for quality assurance.
- Participating in post-fieldwork debriefing sessions and providing feedback.
Skill and Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc) in fields such as Agricultural Economics, Economics, Statistics, Public Health, Medicine, Sociology, or related fields.
- 0 – 1 years of experience in data collection, surveys, or interviews is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in statistical software or data analysis tools is beneficial.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
