About EDR
Ethio-Djibouti Railway Share Company (EDR) was established in April 2017 following a bilateral agreement between Ethiopia and Djibouti. EDR is a joint venture governed by Ethiopian commercial law, responsible for operating and maintaining the Ethio-Djibouti Standard Gauge Railway.

Required Qualification
Educational Background:
Degree or Level III, IV & V in the following fields:
- Railway Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Electromechanical
- Automotive Engineering
- Railway Systems
- Industrial Engineering
- General Mechanics
- Automotive Technology
- Electromechanical Technology
- Machining Technology
Experience:
- No prior experience required
- Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply
Additional Requirements
- COC (Certificate of Competency) is mandatory for applicants with Level III, IV, and V qualifications
- Valid National ID (Fayda) is required
- Applicants must be physically and mentally fit for intensive training
- Willingness to undergo a 1-year semi-military training combining theoretical and practical components
- Training location will be announced later
