The Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Labor and Skills in Ethiopia. It is dedicated to fostering a dynamic and innovative private sector through comprehensive entrepreneurship support programs, including business development services (BDS), access to finance, and market linkage initiatives.
EDI has established regional offices and Centers of Excellence in Entrepreneurship within higher education institutions to promote an entrepreneurial mindset among faculty, graduates, and the local community.
📍 Duty Station: Headquarters, Addis Ababa (with some travel to regions)
📅 Contract Duration: 9 months (with the possibility of extension)
📑 Reports To: Project Coordinator & Finance and Admin Manager
🎓 Education: BA/BSc Degree in any field
🛠 Experience: 0-1 years of experience

🔹 Support outreach activities to onboard SMEs into the voucher program
🔹 Organize orientation workshops and info sessions for SMEs on voucher eligibility and application
🔹 Translate program guidelines for SMEs and assist in form filling
🔹 Guide SMEs through the registration and application process
🔹 Facilitate linkages between SMEs and BDS providers for service delivery
🔹 Conduct verification checks on SMEs before voucher allocation
🔹 Maintain regular communication with SMEs to support voucher utilization
🔹 Assist senior project staff in monitoring and data collection
🔹 Organize meetings, events, and forums for SMEs and partners
🔹 Prepare weekly/monthly reports on outreach progress and challenges
🔹 Provide feedback to improve SME engagement processes

🎓 Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
🛠 Experience: 4+ years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably with engagement in entrepreneurship development and BDS programs
✅ Additional Advantage:
✔ Knowledge of financial management software and finance administration protocols
✔ Familiarity with entrepreneurship, BDS, MSME development, and voucher systems
✔ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
✔ Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Publisher)
✔ Strong supervisory and team collaboration skills
