Job Position: External Affairs Manager – Jimma
Required Qualification and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in political science, law, economics, communication, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Proficiency in relationship management, CSR planning, and implementation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Relationship Management and Advocacy:
- Build and sustain strong relationships with government officials and regulatory bodies to support the Commercial Business Unit’s objectives.
- Advocate for policies and regulations that favor the company’s growth and operations.
- External Affairs Strategy Development:
- Design and implement strategies that align with business goals, enhancing visibility and reputation.
- Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR):
- Plan, implement, and evaluate CSR initiatives in Addis Ababa and other regions.
- Collaborate with regional CSR committees to identify community needs and develop impactful programs.
- Engage with local communities, NGOs, and stakeholders to foster collaboration.
- Gather community feedback to tailor CSR initiatives to local needs.
- Risk Management:
- Identify risks related to public affairs and CSR activities, developing proactive mitigation strategies.
- Monitor public sentiment and assess its impact on the company’s operations and reputation.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on external affairs and CSR activities and their outcomes.
- Analyze program effectiveness and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Budget and Training Oversight:
- Manage the budget for public affairs and CSR activities, ensuring resource efficiency.
- Provide guidance and training to regional teams on CSR best practices and community engagement strategies.
- Commercial Collaboration:
- Work with the Commercial Business Unit to ensure alignment between business goals and external affairs strategies.
- Support commercial initiatives requiring stakeholder engagement or public awareness.
