About the Role:
The Crusher Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of crushing equipment at construction sites or quarries. This role ensures the efficient, safe, and smooth running of the crushing process to produce materials like aggregates, sand, and gravel for construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Crusher Operations Management:
- Oversee the daily operation of crushing plants, ensuring all equipment (crushers, screens, conveyors) are functioning efficiently.
- Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet the demand for different aggregate sizes.
- Monitor crusher performance, adjusting settings to optimize efficiency and product quality.
- Ensure correct material types are fed into crushers to meet product specifications.
- Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Supervise regular maintenance to prevent breakdowns and reduce downtime.
- Troubleshoot performance issues, such as motor malfunctions or inefficiencies.
- Work with maintenance teams to schedule repairs and part replacements.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and inspections.
- Safety Management:
- Ensure operations comply with health and safety regulations.
- Implement safety protocols and conduct training for operators.
- Monitor environmental factors such as dust and noise to ensure safety standards.
- Quality Control and Material Monitoring:
- Ensure crushed materials meet required specifications for size, shape, and gradation.
- Perform quality control checks and adjust the process to meet output goals.
- Resource Management:
- Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables.
- Work with procurement teams to ensure timely material delivery.
- Team Leadership and Training:
- Lead and supervise crusher operators, machine attendants, and laborers.
- Provide training and conduct performance evaluations.
- Environmental Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, focusing on dust control and noise reduction.
- Implement measures like water spraying and acoustic barriers.
- Budgeting and Cost Control:
- Assist in preparing and managing budgets for crusher operations.
- Monitor costs to ensure operations stay within budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare reports on crusher performance, maintenance, and safety.
- Maintain accurate records of operations and report to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Degree: Master’s/Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a senior position. Experience with international companies will be prioritized.
