This fully funded leadership and exchange program is designed for young people between the ages of 18-26 who want to bring positive change in their communities through projects focused on education, health, and economic security.

Program Structure:
The MCW Young Leaders Fellowship prepares young individuals to lead positive change in their communities. It includes:
- Community Needs Assessment: Participants identify and assess local issues related to education, health, or economic security.
- Virtual Training: A one-month intensive online program to develop leadership skills.
- In-Person Training: A 10-day immersive program in New York and Burlington, Vermont.
- Project Development & Mentoring: Participants work on community projects for 10 months with the support of alumni mentors.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Commitment to community development in areas of education, health, or economic security.
- Aged between 18-26 by June 1, 2025.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Commitment to complete the Community Needs Assessment in June and the in-person training in July 2025.
- Ability to execute a community project over the following year.
- Access to consistent communication via email and the internet.
- Eligible for visa and travel documentation.
- Submit a completed application before the deadline.

Selection Timeline:
- October 9, 2024: Application opens

- December 1, 2024: First-round decisions; shortlisted candidates notified
- December 12, 2024: Second-round application closes

- January 23, 2025: Acceptances sent out
- February 1, 2025: Confirmation of acceptances
- February 6, 2025: Confirmation of visa interview date and deposit
- June 1 – June 30, 2025: Community Needs Assessment
- July 6 – July 15, 2025: In-person training program in New York and Vermont
