Tamra for Social Development Organization (TSD) is an indigenous civil society organization that has been actively engaged in community development across Addis Ababa, Oromia, South Ethiopia, and Sidama for over 27 years. TSD is looking to hire qualified and competent professionals for the following positions:
1. Finance Officer (Shashemene Regional Office)
- Job Grade and Section: G3-S1
- Reporting to: Finance Manager
- Contract Duration: 1 year with possible extension based on performance
- Location: Shashemene Regional Office, with frequent travel to project sites
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Salary: Negotiable
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing financial operations of the regional office
- Ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and budget management
- Compliance with financial policies and regulations
- Preparing financial reports and supporting finance and program teams
Qualifications:
- BA/Master’s Degree in Accounting and Finance
- 4/2 years of experience in accounting and finance within the non-profit sector, including 1-2 years in finance directly
2. IT Support Officer (Maternity Leave Cover)
- Contract Duration: Maternity leave cover
- Location: Addis Ababa, with frequent travel to project sites
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Salary: Negotiable
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining the organization’s IT systems
- Providing technical support to staff
- Managing IT infrastructure, hardware, software, and networks
Qualifications:
- BSc degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
- 2 years of experience in IT, with 1 year in a similar role within the non-profit sector
3. Finance Officer (Addis Ababa)
- Contract Duration: Maternity leave cover
- Location: Addis Ababa, with frequent travel to project sites
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Salary: Negotiable
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with policies
- Preparing financial reports and assisting finance teams
Qualifications:
- BA/Master’s Degree in Accounting and Finance
- 4/2 years of experience in finance within the non-profit sector, including 1-2 years directly in finance
4. Grant and Compliance Officer
- Contract Duration: 1 year with possible extension based on performance
- Location: Addis Ababa, limited travel
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Salary: Negotiable
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing grant activities and ensuring compliance with donor requirements
- Grant proposal coordination and compliance monitoring
Qualifications:
- BA/Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 5/3 years of experience in finance, grant, and compliance management within the non-profit sector, including 1-2 years in a similar role
5. Project Coordinator
- Contract Duration: 1 year with possible extension based on performance
- Location: Addis Ababa, with frequent travel to project sites
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Salary: Negotiable
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning, implementing, and monitoring projects
- Coordinating project activities and managing resources
- Ensuring compliance with donor requirements
Qualifications:
- BA/Master’s Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, or related fields
- 4/2 years of project management experience within the non-profit sector, including 1-2 years in leadership roles
