Ethiopian Electric Utility (EEU) Off-Grid Project Office – Vacancy Announcement

The Ethiopian Electric Utility (EEU) is seeking to fill the following position as part of its efforts to provide off-grid electricity services in remote regions of Ethiopia and develop electric vehicle battery charging stations in partnership with Huawei Technology. The project is part of a larger World Bank-backed initiative aimed at electrifying up to 200 rural towns.


Position: Office Assistant

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: A University Degree in any field (Engineering fields are prioritized).
  • Experience: No prior experience required (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in computer usage for document preparation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A warm, approachable personality.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good organizational skills.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and organize filing documents.
  • Sort and distribute communications promptly.
  • Create and update records while ensuring accuracy and validity.
  • Schedule and plan meetings and appointments.
  • Monitor supplies and manage shortages.
  • Assist in the preparation of bid documents with the technical manager.

Salary:

Under the company scale, negotiable.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday (Full-time)
  • Saturday mornings only.

Addisu Gebya NOC Fuel Station, Next to JAMBO Building, Addis Ababa
