The Ethiopian Electric Utility (EEU) is seeking to fill the following position as part of its efforts to provide off-grid electricity services in remote regions of Ethiopia and develop electric vehicle battery charging stations in partnership with Huawei Technology. The project is part of a larger World Bank-backed initiative aimed at electrifying up to 200 rural towns.
Position: Office Assistant
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: A University Degree in any field (Engineering fields are prioritized).
- Experience: No prior experience required (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Skills:
- Proficiency in computer usage for document preparation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A warm, approachable personality.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good organizational skills.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize filing documents.
- Sort and distribute communications promptly.
- Create and update records while ensuring accuracy and validity.
- Schedule and plan meetings and appointments.
- Monitor supplies and manage shortages.
- Assist in the preparation of bid documents with the technical manager.
Salary:
Under the company scale, negotiable.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday (Full-time)
- Saturday mornings only.
