Overview:
The African Union (AU) seeks to promote unity, solidarity, cohesion, and cooperation among African states. This internship program provides an opportunity for individuals from diverse academic backgrounds to gain professional exposure within the AU, enhance their skills, and support AU’s mission.

Eligibility Requirements:
- Enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree program or have obtained a Bachelor’s or advanced degree.
- Nationals of an AU Member State.
- Full-time students currently enrolled in the final year of their Bachelor’s or graduate program.
- Fluent in at least one of the AU working languages (Arabic, English, French, Portuguese).
- No more than 32 years old at the time of selection.
- Possess the highest standard of moral conduct and integrity.
- No prior work experience required.
Terms and Conditions:
- The AU has no financial obligation towards interns; travel, accommodation, and living expenses are the intern’s responsibility.
- AU will assist interns in obtaining entry and residence visas.
- Internship authorized only once for three months, renewable once.
- Interns must have individual insurance coverage throughout the internship duration.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency with email and internet applications.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in one AU official working language; fluency in additional languages is an advantage.
