About Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS):
The Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS), established in 1935, is one of the oldest and largest humanitarian organizations in Ethiopia. ERCS is committed to providing vital services to communities affected by natural and manmade disasters through emergency response, ambulance and first aid services, family reunification, essential drugs, water and sanitation, and other humanitarian interventions. ERCS also runs disaster risk reduction programs aimed at building resilient households and communities. The organization operates with a broad structure that includes 12 Regional Offices, 34 Zonal Branches, 131 District/Woreda Branches, 599 Woreda Red Cross Committees, and 5871 Kebele Red Cross Committees.

In addition to its emergency services, ERCS engages in disaster risk reduction initiatives focusing on food security, climate change adaptation, livelihood diversification, and institutional capacity building. ERCS collaborates with the Ethiopian Government, the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC), the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), partner National Societies, and the communities it serves.

We are currently inviting qualified and competent applicants to apply for the following position:

1. Administration and Finance Head

Location: West Shoa /Ambo/

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Second/First Degree in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, or Management.
  • Experience: A minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience for a Second Degree or 8 years for a First Degree, with at least 4 years (for Second Degree holders) or 6 years (for First Degree holders) in a managerial position.
  • Language Requirement: Proficiency in Afaan Oromo is mandatory.
