Abay Bank invites qualified and competent applicants to apply for the following positions:

1. Customer Service Supervisor – Grade – 1

  • Job Summary:
    • Responsible for countersigning tickets/vouchers, authorizing transactions, following up on cheque clearance activities, managing suspense accounts, and ensuring reconciliation of accounts.
  • Educational Background:
    • BA Degree in Economics, Accounting, Management, Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, or a related business field.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in banking operations.
  • Place of Work: Arsi Branch

2. Administrative Assistant

  • Job Summary:
    • Responsible for registering and filing letters, minutes, circulars, memoranda, and other materials. Screens visitors, schedules appointments, arranges telephone contacts, manages correspondence files, and handles confidential materials and petty cash.
  • Educational Background:
    • BA/Diploma in Secretarial Science & Office Management or Administrative Service Management.
    • 2 years (with BA) or 4 years (with Diploma) of related work experience.
  • Place of Work: Head Office and Hawassa District

3. Human Capital Development Officer

  • Job Summary:
    • Responsible for identifying training and development needs, designing and expanding training programs, selecting training institutions, developing induction programs, supervising ongoing training, and evaluating training and development programs.
  • Educational Background:
    • Minimum BA Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management, or Public Administration.
    • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience in human resource management.

4. Chief Security Officer

  • Job Summary:
    • Supervises and coordinates security operations and activities within the Bank, both in Addis Ababa and outside the city. Ensures the security force is performing well, proposes and introduces improved security methods, and monitors outsourced security guards.
  • Educational Background:
    • BA in Police Science from a police college.
    • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in security or military activities.

5. Branch Manager – Grade – 1

  • Job Summary:
    • Plans and coordinates the overall activities of the branch, evaluates branch operations against performance parameters, motivates and coaches customer service officers, recruits potential customers, and provides professional advice.
  • Educational Background:
    • BA Degree in Management, Economics, Accounting & Finance, Marketing, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, or a related business field.
    • Minimum of 6 years of work experience in banking operations, with 2 years in a supervisory position.
  • Place of Work: Hajialiyu IFB /Worabe Branch

6. Store Keeper – I

  • Job Summary:
    • Maintains inventory lists of all fixed assets, receives and stores materials and supplies, issues materials from stock per requisition, and updates inventory records for all receipts and withdrawals.
  • Educational Background:
    • BA Degree in Procurement and Supplies Management, Supplies Management, Management, Accounting, or a related business field.
    • Minimum of 2 years of property management-related work experience.
  • Place of Work: Dessie District

Applicants for positions #1, 2, & 5 can also apply at the Hawassa District Office, and for position #6, at the Dessie District Office.
