About ZOA Ethiopia:
Established nearly five decades ago, ZOA was initiated as a true civil society initiative, originally supporting refugees in Indo-China. Over the years, it has grown into a professional organization running high-quality, integrated programs for people affected by conflict or disaster in 10 to 15 African and Asian countries. ZOA emphasizes translating compassion into concrete action to bring real, tangible, and sustainable change to the lives of those affected.

1. Position: Driver and Logistics Assistant

  • Location: Jijgiga
  • Summary: Provides assistance in processing all procurement requests, managing logistics, and supporting efficient operations.
  • Skills and Educational Background:
  • Diploma/Degree in Logistics/Supplies Management, Business Management/Administration, or related fields.
  • Valid driving permit/license.
  • At least 3 years of uninterrupted driving experience.
  • Proficiency in inventory software and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Deadline: July 28, 2024

2. Position: Project Assistant

  • Location: Jijgiga
  • Summary: Implements projects aimed at strengthening existing businesses to create job opportunities for youth, women, and persons with disabilities in the Somali region.
  • Skills and Educational Background:
  • Degree in Agriculture, Crop Production/Livestock, Business Management, Agricultural Economics, Economics, Food Security and Nutrition, Social Sciences, Rural Development, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant professional experience.
  • Experience with INGO is advantageous.
  • Experience in livelihoods and job creation interventions within refugee, IDP, and host community contexts.
  • Deadline: July 26, 2024

3. Position: Food Security and Livelihood Manager

  • Location: Gambella
  • Summary: Manages livelihoods and food security projects, including budget management, in the Gambella region.
  • Skills and Educational Background:
  • B.A/B.Sc/M.A/M.Sc Degree in General Agriculture, Crop Production/Livestock/Fishery, Agricultural Economics, Food Security and Nutrition, Social Sciences, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience for B.A/B.Sc, and 3 years for M.A/M.Sc degrees.
  • Experience with INGO and managing programs and budgets aimed at increasing cooperation in resource use.
  • Understanding of the local context, especially for South Sudanese refugees in Gambella.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines and work independently in a cross-cultural environment.
  • Excellent English skills.
  • Leadership capabilities to guide a diverse team.
  • Deadline: July 25, 2024

4. Position: Senior Project Manager

  • Location: Gambella
  • Summary: Manages the EU-funded project on integrated basic services and livelihoods for refugees and host communities, including stakeholder relationships, project deliverables, and staff management.
  • Skills and Educational Background:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Project Management, International Development, Social Sciences, Developmental Studies, Humanitarian Studies, or related fields.
  • Relevant technical expertise with at least 5 years of practical experience in project management.
  • Experience in designing and implementing relief and development projects in Ethiopia.
  • Experience with USAID/BHA-funded projects, particularly in ES/NFI and WASH sectors.
  • Strong network within the business community in Addis Ababa.
  • Understanding of challenges faced by refugees and Ethiopian youth regarding employment and business.
  • Substantial experience in programme management, particularly in relief, IDP, and consortium programmes.
  • Deadline: July 25, 2024
