Position: Corporate Customers Relationship Manager

Location: Addis Ababa
Salary: Attractive

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Recruit potential customers and maintain strong & sustainable relationships.
  • Ensure customer recruitment aligns with the Bank’s directions.
  • Confirm the existence of a single point of contact for customers.
  • Interview customers, manage the collection of relevant documents for credit processing, and ensure the legality of borrowers.
  • Ensure that properties offered as collateral are properly and timely valued.
  • Visit the business premises of the borrower and prepare a business visit report.
  • Prepare Due Diligence reports and present them to the pertinent Credit Committee in collaboration with the Credit Appraisal wing for decisions.
  • Ensure Credit requests get timely decisions and communicate them to customers timely.
  • Manage the disbursement of loans and advances timely and accurately.
  • Ensure customers are properly and timely classified.
  • Ensure timely collection of loans and advances.
  • Conduct strict loan and advance follow-up on a case-by-case basis and ensure the quality of loans and advances.
  • Provide periodic follow-up reports to the relevant organ of the Bank.
  • Ensure deteriorating loans and advances get timely solutions.
  • Ensure loan documents are properly maintained and updated.
  • Conduct negotiations with customers, propose resolution mechanisms, and follow up on restructured loans and advances.
  • Ensure the lending process is as per the Bank’s Credit policy and procedure.
  • Provide clarifications on credit approval decisions or workout resolutions and related conditions to the pertinent body as deemed necessary.
  • Resolve customer complaints.

Skill and Educational Background:

  • Education: MSc, MA, BSc, BA in Economics, Management, Business Administration, Marketing Management, Finance & related fields.
  • Experience: 7 years of experience in a relevant position in the banking industry, of which 2 years as a Senior Customers Relationship Officer, Senior Credit Analysis/Appraisal, Senior Loan Officer, or equivalent position.
