Position 1: Senior Technical Assistant – WASH /Hygiene Promotion/

Job Purpose:
To ensure quality hygiene promotion activities are implemented and integrated into Health and Nutrition at the community and Health facility level. The role involves planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of sanitation and hygiene promotion activities, supporting rapid emergency responses, and community mobilization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure high quality and timely delivery of WASH-related hygiene promotion activities.
- Implement hygiene and sanitation promotion with appropriate approaches and standards.
- Mobilize communities and manage project resources.
- Report periodically to the woreda team leader and WASH Engineer.
Skills and Educational Background:
- BSc/Diploma in Environmental Health and Public Health.
- 3 years of relevant work experience for Degree holders, 5 years for Diploma holders.
- 2 years of experience in hygiene behavior change communication in INGOs.
- Proficiency in English and local language (Tigrigna) is mandatory.
- Experience in training and capacity building for staff.
- Ability to work diplomatically with staff and local authorities.

Job Purpose:
To supervise water, sanitation, and hygiene activities as per the design, specification, drawing, contract agreement, standard, and protocol of WASH infrastructure at community and health facility levels. The role involves close collaboration with government health structures, implementing agencies, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily WASH activities and ensure they meet the required standards.
- Liaise with the Regional Health Bureau, Woreda Health and Water offices, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure collaboration at all levels of project implementation.
Skills and Educational Background:
- BSc/Diploma in Hydraulics, Sanitary, or Water Resource Engineering.
- 3 years of relevant work experience for Degree holders, 5 years for Diploma holders.
- Experience in WASH activities at community, health institutions, and schools.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
