Position: Project Officer – Migration Management and Forced Displacement
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Health and Legal Status:
- Medically fit to perform required duties.
- Holds civil rights and permits for employment under local law.
- Educational Background:
- Master’s Degree in Migration Studies, Forced Displacement Studies, Political Sciences, or relevant fields. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree in these fields with 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar position.
- Language Proficiency:
- English: C2 level competency in understanding, reading, speaking, and writing.
- Technical Skills:
- High level of computer literacy.
Additional Assets:
- Experience with International and/or Diplomatic missions on migration/forced displacement matters.
- Experience in Government institutions or administrations on migration/forced displacement matters.
- Experience with the implementation of the EU – Ethiopia return and readmission agreement of 2018.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment.
Employment Details:
- Place of Employment: Delegation of the European Union to Ethiopia, Addis Ababa.
- Employment Contract: Indefinite/Permanent.
- Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
- Salary: Group I, starting basic salary of 2555 EUR/month (payable equivalent in Ethiopian Birr).
- Benefits: Transportation allowance, provident fund, and medical insurance for employees and their families under certain conditions.
