Position: Project Officer – Migration Management and Forced Displacement

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Health and Legal Status:
  • Medically fit to perform required duties.
  • Holds civil rights and permits for employment under local law.
  • Educational Background:
  • Master’s Degree in Migration Studies, Forced Displacement Studies, Political Sciences, or relevant fields. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree in these fields with 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Professional Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar position.
  • Language Proficiency:
  • English: C2 level competency in understanding, reading, speaking, and writing.
  • Technical Skills:
  • High level of computer literacy.

Additional Assets:

  • Experience with International and/or Diplomatic missions on migration/forced displacement matters.
  • Experience in Government institutions or administrations on migration/forced displacement matters.
  • Experience with the implementation of the EU – Ethiopia return and readmission agreement of 2018.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment.

Employment Details:

  • Place of Employment: Delegation of the European Union to Ethiopia, Addis Ababa.
  • Employment Contract: Indefinite/Permanent.
  • Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
  • Salary: Group I, starting basic salary of 2555 EUR/month (payable equivalent in Ethiopian Birr).
  • Benefits: Transportation allowance, provident fund, and medical insurance for employees and their families under certain conditions.
