1. Logistics Officer

Location: Sekota, Ethiopia

Job Summary:

The Logistics Officer will report to the Senior Logistics Officer and is responsible for overseeing day-to-day procurement activities, fleet management, warehouse management, and general logistics needs related to programmatic activities. Tasks include movement tracking, asset management, contract/lease management, vendor relations, and other assignments.

Skill and Educational Background:

  • Degree in Procurement and Logistics or related field. Vocational or specialized training is desired.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience providing logistical support in an office setting.
  • Familiarity with donor-funded procurement rules and regulations is an advantage.
  • Experience using inventory management software is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated success in multicultural environments is an advantage.
  • Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO) is preferred.
  • Fluent in the local language and excellent in English.

2. Health & Nutrition Assistant – Chereti

Location: Filtu, Ethiopia

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the health and nutrition Officer, the Health and Nutrition Assistant supports all start-up nutrition activities in FHI 360 program implementation areas. Responsibilities include providing technical guidance, anthropometric assessment, recording, referral, linking clients to service points, and maintaining infection control and prevention practices.

Skill and Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree related to health or nutrition or a related field.
  • Experience: Typically requires at least 3 years of relevant administrative experience supporting projects and/or a technical practice area.
  • Prior experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO) is preferred.
  • Prior experience using Microsoft Office Suite preferred.

3. Health & Nutrition Officer – Chereti

Location: Jarati, Ethiopia

Job Summary:

Under supervision of the Senior Health and Nutrition Officer, the Health and Nutrition Officer supports all start-up health and nutrition activities in FHI 360 program implementation areas. Responsibilities include providing technical guidance to ensure program implementation adheres to appropriate international technical standards and guidelines.

Skill and Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing/Public Health or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years field experience in humanitarian work, including significant experience in managing integrated projects.
  • Knowledge of the latest Nutrition related technical guidelines and standards in emergency nutrition and health.
  • NGO experience in IMNCI/RH and CMAM/OTP/SC and IYCF, including Community engagement program.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent team player.
  • Willingness and ability to work in hardship environments.
  • Cultural and gender sensitivity.

4. MEAL Accountability Assistant

Location: Mekelle, Ethiopia

Skill and Educational Background:

  • A bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Humanitarian Studies, Statistics, Computer Science, Microbiology, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, M&E, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 0-2 years of proven experience in Accountability, particularly in humanitarian contexts. A solid understanding of integrated health, nutrition, WASH, and protection program delivery in resource-constrained settings is crucial. A master’s degree is an added advantage.

Experience and Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding and practical experience in safeguarding and accountability to affected populations.
  • Proficiency in conducting surveys and assessments, including the development of qualitative and quantitative questionnaires.
  • Strong background and skills in facilitating training, coaching, and mentoring staff.
  • Competency in community complaint and feedback mechanisms, and community participation and engagement.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes:

  • Expertise in digital data collection tools such as Kobo Toolbox, ODK, and similar platforms.
  • Extensive experience in both quantitative and qualitative data collection and management systems, with practical skills in SPSS, STATA, etc.
  • Substantial experience in health, nutrition, protection, and WASH programming.
  • Demonstrated local knowledge and field experience.
  • Understanding of the UN Cluster System, as well as international and national minimum standards of services in humanitarian settings.
  • Knowledge of humanitarian programs in Northern and Eastern Ethiopia specifically.
  • Experience in project-level or state/national-level monitoring and evaluation system implementation.
