Position: Senior WaSH Engineer
Job Summary:
Under the general direction and supervision of the WaSH Manager, the Senior WaSH Engineer is responsible for:
- Conducting needs assessments of WaSH facilities infrastructure.
- Performing feasibility surveys, developing bills of quantity, specifications, and implementation schedules for WaSH project activities.
- Monitoring and supervising the WaSH activities implemented in different branches.
- Providing technical support and suggestions to implementing branches.
- Timely reporting on the implementation of WaSH project activities.
- Preparing detailed designs for the rehabilitation of existing water sources and the development of new water sources and subsequent infrastructure.
- Ensuring the completion of WaSH project activities within the timeframe and allocated budget.
Details of the Position:
- Work Unit: Disaster Risk Management Department
- Reports to: Health and WaSH Division
- Terms of Employment: One-year contract
- Place of Work: Addis Ababa
- Salary: Negotiable
Skill and Educational Background:
- MSc/BSc in hydraulics, irrigation, water resources, or other water-related engineering disciplines.
- Proven practical experience in the planning and execution of WaSH projects for at least 6/8 years.
- Experience working with rural development projects, preferably in large water and sanitation or related projects.
