Vacant Positions:
1. Driver
Skills, Experience, and Knowledge:
- High School Diploma.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean track record.
- Additional documentation and/or certification to carry out the job.
- Right to work in Ethiopia.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience as a driver in an international/multinational organization, public, or private sector.
- Skills in minor vehicle repairs and routine maintenance.
- Knowledge of rules and regulations for safe and efficient vehicle operation and maintenance.
- Demonstrated initiative, discretion, honesty, and good character.
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in either French or English; working knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
- Competence in the use of Microsoft software (e.g., Microsoft Word) and Internet usage.
Responsibilities:
- Provide reliable and safe driving services to the Deputy Director-General.
- Perform office messenger duties.
2. Senior Program Officer, PJSS
Competencies (Qualifications, Experience & Skills):
- Master’s degree or equivalent in economics, politics, international relations, rural/development studies, law, management, or related social sciences.
- Understanding of contemporary debates in political economy, both in Africa and elsewhere, informed by both orthodox and heterodox theories.
- Familiarity with the role of development finance institutions in socioeconomic reform and poverty reduction in developing countries.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience in addressing challenges in developing countries, preferably with regional, continental, or international development agencies.
- Understanding of regional integration and the workings of supranational organizations; experience with AU, African RECs, and other regional mechanisms is a plus.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, strategic thinking, negotiation skills, and team-building skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to handle high-level demands of a complex, multinational, multicultural organization.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate strategic thinking into action plans.
- Ability to take prudent business risks and make effective, timely decisions.
- Ability to plan and manage staff to achieve high-quality results and encourage innovation.
- Impeccable oral and written communication skills in French or English, with a good working knowledge of the other language.
- Competence in using Bank standard software applications (Office suites, Enterprise Resource Planning, Collaboration Suites).
Responsibilities:
- Under the guidance and supervision of the Lead Program Coordinator, perform duties and responsibilities related to program management and coordination.
