1. MEAL Technical Officer
Location: Ethiopia
Salary Range: 20,001 – 30,000 ETB
Duration: Definite Period
Job Summary:
The Monitoring, Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Officer supports the South Wollo team in monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning activities. Responsibilities include data management, developing reporting formats and checklists, updating databases, and ensuring proper project documentation. The MEAL Officer ensures the Compliance Response Mechanism is in place and handles complaints as per the procedure.
Skills and Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Monitoring and Evaluation, statistics, Nutrition/Health Monitoring, Public health, etc.
- 4 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree or 2 years with a postgraduate degree.
- Experience in humanitarian programming is an advantage.
- Clear understanding and experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection.
- Ability to provide technical advice and support.
- Experience in training and capacity building.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, facilitation, and writing skills.
- Understanding of current M&E trends, especially in Health and Nutrition.
- Proficient in MS Excel and other MS Office packages.
Competencies:
- Analytical and research skills.
- Willing to undertake regular field visits.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Demonstrated experience in monitoring and evaluation, especially in Health and Nutrition.
- Experience integrating gender, DRR, HIV/AIDS, environmental protection, and accountability into public health promotion.

Job Summary:
The Woreda Team Leader manages Concern Worldwide’s multisectoral program/project activities (health, nutrition, food security, livelihood, WaSH, and non-food items) in their respective Woreda. Responsibilities include needs assessment, planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting in line with Concern guidelines, project budgets, and donor requirements.
Skills and Educational Background:
- Bachelor in Public Health, Health Care, Nursing, Nutrition, or related fields. A master’s degree is a plus.
- 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree or 3 years with a postgraduate degree.
- 1 year of supervisory experience.
- NGO experience is a plus.
Skills Required:
- Basic managerial skills.
- Technical and report writing skills.
- Computer literate.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in Somali and English is required.
