Position: Community Engagement Specialist
Skill and Educational Background:
- Education:
- Master’s degree in health fields, social sciences, or a related field with relevant training and/or experience in community engagement and empowerment.
- Experience:
- Over five years of demonstrated technical and programmatic experience in community engagement and empowerment.
- Familiarity with the Ethiopian Primary Health Care system, including the Community Health Program and community engagement practices.
- Proven experience in providing technical support and capacity building.
- Community-level experience in facilitating training and workshops is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in capacity development of Non-State Actors (NSAs) and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).
- Experience working with local governments, civil society organizations, and senior-level government officials is desired.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent English writing and communication skills; fluency in a local language is an advantage.
- Proven teamwork and collaborative effort promotion.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Location: Addis Ababa, Bahir Dar, Semera, Sodo
