Graduate Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program

Overview

The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Gondar offers 160 graduate scholarships over eight years, starting from the 2018/19 Academic year. These scholarships are aimed at academically talented but disadvantaged youth from five East African countries: Ethiopia, Somalia, Eritrea, Djibouti, and South Sudan. The program is designed to equip Scholars with transformational and leadership skills, enabling them to influence socioeconomic development at global, regional, national, and local levels effectively.

  • Housing and Accommodations policies are outlined, including information on cafeteria services and student lounges.
  • Campus Facilities include banking services, library services, ICT facilities, guidance and counseling services, disability studies, community-based rehabilitation, and campus security.

Campus Life:

  • Recreational facilities, sports and fitness facilities, spiritual life, health facilities, and clubs and societies offer a rich campus life experience.
