1. Manager Transmission Operations

Location: Addis Ababa, Addis Ababa

Job Summary:

As the Manager Transmission Operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring high-level transport network assurance, support, and fault management. Your responsibilities will include achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) such as MW Availability, Radio Access Network Availability, and IP Network Availability. You will conduct in-depth analysis, maintain diagnostic network performance tools, and deliver insights for performance improvement and automated network solutions in the transmission domain.

Skill and Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Higher National Diploma in the mentioned fields.
  • 8 years of experience with 3 years in a specialized role in a telecommunications environment, focusing on Transmission and IP Network operations, design, planning, installations/commissioning, and projects, especially in the transmission field.

Required Competencies:

  • Good knowledge and experience in Microwave, Fiber, Router, Synchronisation, and Switches technologies.
  • Expertise in TDM, ATM, PDH, SDH, C/W/DWDM, IP/MPLS, MEF, IP & TX architecture, IP & TX Protocols.
  • In-depth understanding of various vendor tools such as NetAct-NFM-T, NFM-P, iMaster MAE.
  • Knowledge of standards in IEEE, ITU, MEF, Optical, RF.
