Embassy of Portugal in Addis Ababa invites applicants who meet the following qualification and experience requirements to apply for the following vacant positions

1. Administrative Officer

Location: Addis Ababa

Salary: 531,60 EUR (including 13th and 14th month) – 7.442,40 EUR gross annual salary

Job Summary:

The Administrative Officer is responsible for supporting the Embassy’s administrative work, including accounting and procurement. The role involves liaising with Ethiopian counterparts in Embassy management. The officer may also support tasks in the Consular Section.

Skill and Educational Background:

  • General requirements for civil service under Portuguese Law
  • Holder of a Secondary Education diploma or equivalent (additional academic background and professional experience in Public Administration, Law, and Economics is preferable)
  • Resident in Ethiopia (proof of residency to be provided after contracting)
  • Regularized tax and social security situation with local authorities
  • Fluency in English (knowledge of Portuguese is preferable)

2. Senior Administrative Officer

Location: Addis Ababa
Salary: 614,80 EUR (including 13th and 14th month) – 8.607,20 EUR gross annual sala

Benefits:

Medical and life insurance program for the employee + meal subsidy (0.58 EUR per day)

Skill and Educational Background:

  • General requirements for civil service under Portuguese Law (Portuguese nationality expected)
  • Holder of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certificate in International Relations, Political Science, Public Administration, or a relevant area
  • Resident in Ethiopia (proof of residency to be provided after contracting)
  • Regularized tax and social security situation with local authorities
  • Fluency in English (knowledge of Portuguese is preferable)
